Scraping Zero

Scrape search on "0."  From 2018. WTF?

Bots.

Slapped this together without much effort into formatting. 

This started mostly in May at the Main Blog [Drake's Place] with hits from bots. Singapore/Amazon/Google are the main drivers.

Then they went VPN. Great! A challenge! Then I moved main blog to PRIVATE. I let it sit. 

On 6//26 reopened without an update. Had almost 1,000 hit. On no update. This was a test and the bots failed. I have your info. While I do cover the Singapore scene extensively at the Main Blog, 🤣,  I was suspicious seeing a surge in "readers" from Singapore.

The timing between hits can only be bots. They hit within seconds of each other. 

EX:

16:34:51
16:32:41
16:29:17
16:26:56  etc, etc. 

A few hits from 2019 from Tony Posnanski's Twitter account. I've made fun of him a couple times 3 years ago. I don't think the 2023 bots are related to those posts from 2019. Noting this only because of the 2019 entry below.

Locations, ISP and IP published.  Narrowed down to 5 geo locations. I can see you. 👓 

Another strange thing is the search terms used for the main blog have few or no results. 

Android, Chrome, Android, Chrome. Boring! A couple Unix tossed in for flavor. Thanks for that!

It started again the moment I published the "Happy Independence Day" post Tuesday evening.

The bots seem to be searching on random terms. Ya know, if you want something offensive all ya have to do is aks.
